Congratulations to Megan Doherty & Mitchell Thornton for receiving $400 WSBA Junior Grants to attend the USAC Talent ID Camp in Forest Grove, Oregon this summer.
Megan Doherty, currently racing for SCCA/Starbucks, is 14 years old and has been racing since age 8. She recently upgraded to Cat 2 on the road and achieved top 10 results in her age group at USAC Junior Nationals the last 3 years. In addition to her racing success, Megan maintains a 4.0 GPA with a challenging academic schedule.
Mitchell Thornton races for Fischer Plumbing; he is 16 years old and has been racing road, track, and cyclocross since age 9. He had top step podium results at the 2014 WSBA Cross Championships and the MFG SCCA/Starbucks GP. Mitchell has accomplished all this while balancing a very full school schedule.
