NEW this year: CYCLOCROSS Meet the Team Rides !!

In order to give cyclocross riders and teams an opportunity for an introduction in their natural habitat, we’re adding a separate series of Meet the Team Rides this year for cyclocross and mountain bike squads. Dates for the rides are available on a first-come, first-served basis (one team per date so there are no conflicts or overlaps) starting July 25.  The full schedule is posted here.

Russell Stevenson will transition Wednesday Night Worlds into timed cyclocross workouts beginning August 19, so teams and prospective members will have more opportunity to ride together and to get better acquainted before cross season officially starts.

The goal is to provide an opportunity for new and experienced racers looking for a team for the 2015 season to get to know the teams in this discipline BEFORE the season starts. As with the road version, these Meet the Team Rides should be social with lots of chance for interaction and getting acquainted. How the individual rides are structured, scheduled, and located is up to the host team.

Send an email to marthalwalsh at yahoo dot com to reserve your team’s preferred date and then follow up with the details (where, when, description of your team, contact person, etc.). We’ll update the schedule with complete info on each host team. 

USA Cycling recommends that each team permit its Meet the Team Ride as a Non-Competitive Training Ride, which can provide general liability insurance.
