Team Competition
The top five riders with the highest placing on each team, across all categories, at each BARR event will score points. There will be a separate team competition for men and women
Points
WSBA Championship Events and
the Tour de Bloom (GC)
1st = 200
2nd = 160
3rd = 120
4th = 104
5th = 88
6th = 72
7th = 56
8th = 40
9th = 24
10th = 8
Other BARR Events
1st = 100
2nd = 80
3rd = 60
4th = 52
5th = 44
6th = 36
7th = 28
8th = 20
9th = 12
10th = 4
Races that will be in the team competition:
2019 TEAM BARR events:
Ice Breaker Time Trial – March 2
Tour de Dung – March 16
Independence Valley Road Race – March 23
Tour de Bloom Stage Race – May 3-5
Ballard Criterium – June 8
Ronde van Palouse Road Race; WSBA Senior Road Race Championships – June 22
Buck Knife Riverbend Criterium; Senior Championship – June 23
Redmond Derby Days Criterium – July
Possibly another USAC sanctioned TT, TBD
All the races that are promoted at these events are eligible for points not just the BARR events or Championships events. For example, the Cat 1/2 field at the Tour de Dung is eligible for team points as is the Cat 1/2 field at the Riverbend criterium.
A rider has to be a member of the team in the USAC database and that team should be listed in the results that are published to USAC. “Guest riders” will not accumulate points. I will need some help with riders throughout the year since a lot of people can’t figure out there “club name” versus their “team name”. Team presidents and officers; please make sure your team is consistent with the naming of your team in the race results.
Any questions please direct them to the WSBA Results Coordinator.
