MEET THE TEAM RIDES

Here’s your chance to meet members of many of the teams in the Seattle area (and beyond). Starting Saturday, September 8, clubs will lead weekend rides around the south end of Lake Washington (and elsewhere) for riders of all skill levels who are interested in racing. The complete ride schedule and information about each team are listed below.

Rides leave Seattle’s Leschi neighborhood on Saturdays and Sundays from Pert's Deli (120 Lakeside Ave, Seattle WA 98122). There is ample parking nearby. Please be at Pert’s by 9:20 for a 9:30 AM departure. Locations and times of other rides are noted.

These are social rides, at a conversational pace, around the south end of Lake Washington. Allow about 2 hours. The ride may stop for 5-10 minutes along the way, but otherwise, be prepared for a continuous ride. These rides happen rain, wind, or sunshine! Bring a functioning road bike (full fenders are appreciated on damp days), helmet, water, some food, weather-appropriate clothing, a little money, and an extra tube in case you flat.

We're one of the largest women's cycling teams in the Pacific Northwest: with approximately 70 members, our team is a veritable force wherever the rubber meets the road, the track, or the dirt. We're passionate about investing the time necessary to educate and train our members in the art of racing and to develop the women's peloton in the PNW. Whether your thing is cyclocross, mountain, track, or road, you'll find supportive, fun, and amazing women at TGH ready to help get you where you want to go.

-Strong riders who don't have an interest in racing and are looking for compatible cycling buddies who regularly do long, scenic, challenging rides;
-Racers who want to diversify and ride with folks who regularly do long, scenic, challenging rides.

Saturday, September 13: Blue Rooster/ScanSnap Racing Team
BlueRoosterCycling.com
Contact: Josh Gerak  Avantiracing at gmail.com

The "Roosters" are one of Seattle's longest running teams. Easily recognized by their marine blue and yellow "kits", the Roosters are also known as an inclusive group of racers -- we are a coed and multi-discipline team that strives to excel at racing while having fun, helping others learn this very commiting sport, and giving back to the cycling community that we embrace.
The team's members consist of all ages and abilities, but the average teammate is male or female, many with kids, and who considers cycling as a means to stay fit and keep a competitive spark in life. Although we have some successful high Category racers who have won State titles and have participated in some National Championships, the Roosters are a blend of all abilities and a great bunch of athletes who yearn to add members who can grow to be friends as well as training companions and tactical teammates.
The team boasts very supportive sponsors and we are hosts of Western Washington's best race -- the Mutual of Enumclaw Stage Race. We ask all teammates to participate in ways to help forward our team which is voluntarily run. If you want to try out racing, we are your team. If you want to find supportive teammates to meet your racing goals, ride together and become educated about racing, check us out. We look forward to meeting you at our MTTR!

We are a team that takes racing seriously but not too seriously. We have members (men and women) racing all disciplines: road, track, cyclocross, cross-country mtb, enduro, and downhill. With lots of resources as well as some very experienced members (multiple national and world champs!) we have a great support structure. Come on out and meet us on the ride or email us for another time and see if we have what you’re looking for. If you’re just an off road rider (Cx or mtb) then we can arrange a meeting on the dirt! We don’t require much…no race minimums per season…just that we like you and you like to ride.

Contact: Bart Hawkinson  bhawkinson79 at gmail.com
Therapeutic Associates Racing is an elite amateur bike racing team based in Seattle Washington, and Portland Oregon. We train and race all year ’round in all disciplines of our sport: Road, Track and Cyclocross and Mountain. Our team maintains a strong relationship with our title sponsor – Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy. To that end, we view our competitions holistically--our participation should make us healthier, better people, not simply medal winners. So we aim to be fair-minded, respectful, and to laugh a lot while striving for our best performances. We take pride in riding as a team first and foremost. We aren’t individuals just racing in the same kit. Sacrificing individual ambition to help a teammate achieve their goal or to meet a team objective can be as rewarding as standing on the top step. We’re selective about who joins our team, being sure that people that we bring on understand this is our #1 rule.
