Gene Johnson Cycling Team

Team Description:
LEARN, SHARE, GROW. LaunchPad Cycling is the home of the all-inclusive Gene Johnson Cycling Team and the select cat 1/2 Zoom Squad. We are a PNW based cycling club. Though our roster boasts some of the fastest racers around, our mission is not just to win races. But to support, empower, and grow our beloved cycling community. Most of us live and ride in the Seattle area. We are riders of all levels. Some of us train full-time, racing with the fastest athletes in the country. Others, ride when we can, referencing our team’s racing culture, showing up when we can, knowing we're supported regardless of our fitness or experience.

Ride Locations/Details:
Our Group Rides are open to anyone. All teams, all levels, all genders. They happen all year long, rain or shine.

Thursday Night Lights 6p (Sharp!):  Route is 1 hr 45 min (34 miles). Meet at Gene Johnson Plumbing’s Greenwood HQ at 5:30 to hang and share stories. Please bring front and rear lights and a flat repair kit. Full wrap fenders and a "buddy flap" are mandatory on wet days.

Saturday Group Rides 9am: Routes are 3 to 4.5 hrs (55 to 85 miles). We alternate our meeting locations each week between the Leschi Starbucks (southbound), and Log Boom Park (northbound). Please email us for details.

Other Team Commitments:
The only obligation is that each of us add our name to our club's Code of Conduct.
This document helps hold us accountable in creating a safe & inviting space for new riders. sponsors, and our fans.
Beyond this, please access the club as it makes sense to you.
We are a thriving community, and are excited to share it with you!

Team Dues: $50/year
