Regional Talent ID Camp Scholarship

The WSBA will give $400 scholarships to 7-10  junior riders age 14-19 to attend the USA Cycling 2016 Northwest Regional Talent ID Camp, July 10 - July 15,  2016, in Forest Grove, Oregon. This camp is part of the USAC Regional Talent ID Camps and a great opportunity to improve skills and get identified by USAC as a rider with potential. Scholarship selection open to any rider age 14-19 (chronological age/not racing age) who resides in the WSBA regaion which includes the State of Washington, North Idaho and parts of  Oregon  The top 7-10 riders will be selected by the WSBA Junior Executive Committee by May 25, 2016. The Committee will award and notify riders of scholarships by June 10, 2016.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. Email Gina at:  gkavesh"at"gmail.com with a subject line of WSBA Scholarship. In the email, include contact information (phone number and address), current GPA if in school, name of school, racing background, and any details you think would be useful for the committee to know regarding your selection for this scholarship.


2. Register for the camp  by signing in to your USA Cycling account and click on the "Register for an Event" button before June 10, 2016. You will need to email your camp confirmation & receipt to gkavesh"at"gmail.com before funds will be awarded.

Additional financial aid is available through: USA Cycling Development Foundation Travel and Training Grants Program.

Camp participants can apply for grants to offset the cost of the camp
or travel to the camp. USA Cycling Development Foundation Travel and
Training Grant Program. Eligibility is based, in part, on financial
need. Please read the instructions and eligibility requirements
carefully. Note that the award money will not cover the entire costs
of the camp, so other fundraising activities should be explored. Also,
Contact your team manager or president about financial scholarships
from your team. You may want to talk to your local racing association
about any scholarships available or fundraising ideas. More info about

Camp Pricing/Cancellation/Change/Refund Policy

Camps range from $750-$900*, depending on date of registration.

Type of Camp Registration: Early >90 days out $750,  Regular 30-90 days out $850, Late <30 days out $900

WSBA Junior Grants

WSBA Grant Application Form WSBA junior members of WSBA cycling teams in good standing with USA Cycling and other cycling organizations in Washington and N Idaho may request support from the WSBA for programs in any cycling discipline. Juniors may request grants for items such as travel to national and international level competition.
